Goa Forward candidate Deepak Kalangutkar opens election campaign office

Panaji: Deepak Kalangutkar, candidate of Goa Forward for Mandrem constituency, on Sunday opened an election campaign office in Mandrem.

The office was inaugurated at the hands of senior congressman Francis DSouza and Ganpat Kalangutkar. Many other prominent personalities from the area were present on the occasion.

Deepak Kalangutar sought blessings from goddess Bhagwati and also visited St Antonio Chapel and prayed for victory.

Speaking on the occasion, Deepak Kalangutkar said that many youths are attracted towards Goa Forward Party and have started joining. “We are working in all 48 booths of Mandrem. We have received good support from the people and hence we are confident to win this seat.” He said.

“There are many issues to be resolved in Mandrem constituency. We need to work in the area of health, bus transport and internet connectivity. Once we come to power we will resolve these issues on priority.” He said.

Deepak Kalangutkar said that the BJP government has failed to heed to the problems faced by people of Mandrem. “I appeal to people to teach a lesson to those who defected or switched parties for their personal gains. This political culture has indeed marred the progress of constituency and State.” He said.

Kalangutkar said that due to the spike in COVID cases they have limited their campaign with less number of supporters, however will try to reach every person. “People need to introspect why Mandrem is lagging behind in development.” He said.
