New Delhi: Several senior Congress leaders from Goa, including state party president Girish Chodankar and Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao, are in New Delhi to participate in a mega rally organised by the INDIA bloc at Ramlila Maidan on Sunday.
The rally is being held to protest against the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) and the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
Goa Congress leaders participating in the rally include Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) president Girish Chodankar, Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao and GPCC working presidents Altone D’Costa and Sunil Kawthankar.
The leaders are heading to Ramlila Maidan along with other INDIA bloc leaders and workers for the demonstration.
The rally comes amid opposition parties raising concerns over the Election Commission’s functioning and the electoral roll revision exercise.
