Panaji: Goa will witness a substantial increase in air connectivity during the 2026-27 winter tourism season, with 84 additional domestic flights per week and expanded international services from key markets, including the UAE, UK, Kazakhstan, Poland and Russia, the state Tourism Department said on Tuesday.
As per a media statement released by the State Tourism Department on Tuesday, the additional domestic flights will be split between the state’s two airports, with Manohar International Airport at Mopa getting 28 additional flights per week and Dabolim Airport receiving 56.
At Mopa, Air India Express will introduce a Bengaluru service seven times a week, while IndiGo will operate a daily Chandigarh-Mopa flight from October 25 through March 27, 2027.
Star Air will revive its Nanded-Mopa and Shivamogga-Mopa winter services, while FLY91 will resume its Navi Mumbai-Mopa connection.
At Dabolim, Air India Express will increase capacity on the Mumbai and Bengaluru routes, while Air India will strengthen services connecting Mumbai and Delhi with Goa.
IndiGo will also increase flights connecting Dabolim with cities including Chennai, Rajkot, Navi Mumbai and Chandigarh.
The international network will also be expanded during the winter season.
At Mopa, Air India Express will operate an Abu Dhabi service three times a week, while TUI will operate charter services to Gatwick and Manchester three times a week from November.
FlyArystan will operate twice-weekly services from Kazakhstan, while Enter Air will connect Goa with Warsaw and Katowice. Air Arabia will provide winter connectivity from Sharjah.
At Dabolim, Air India Express will operate a daily Dubai-Goa service, while Aeroflot will operate six flights a week from Moscow and Yekaterinburg. SCAT Airlines will operate twice-weekly services from Kazakhstan.
Tourism Minister Rohan A. Khaunte said the expansion of air connectivity was a “strong vote of confidence” in Goa as a global tourism destination.
“Our strategy has been to strengthen established source markets while simultaneously opening Goa to new and high-potential markets. Connectivity from the UAE, UK, Kazakhstan, Poland and Russia gives international travellers greater choice and more convenient access to Goa,” he said.
Khaunte said the additional domestic connectivity would also support tourism, hospitality and the wider local economy.
Director of Tourism Kedar Naik said the winter season was “shaping up positively” with stronger connectivity across international and domestic markets.
“Strong connectivity is critical to supporting a year-round and diversified tourism economy,” he said.
Air India Express has separately announced its largest-ever Winter Schedule 2026, comprising around 585 daily flights, including up to 150 international departures, across 65 stations and 220 routes.
For Goa, the airline’s winter schedule includes the three-times-a-week Abu Dhabi-Mopa service and daily Dubai-Dabolim connectivity, besides strengthened domestic operations.
