Margao: The residents of Amrutnagar, in the presence of Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai, inaugurated a Walking Track and Community Courtyard on Friday. It was developed by Sardesai.
Speaking on the occasion, Sardesai said that the Courtyard will benefit the residents of Amrutnagar. “We believe in development by consent. This is another example of our mantra. In the future also, we will take all Fatordekars into confidence and go forward.” He said.

“Proud to have played my role in developing the Walking Track cum Community Courtyard in Amrutnagar.” Sardesai said.
He also added that the issue of Sonsodo, which has been stopped by the BJP government, will be resolved. “The Margao Municipal Council is all set to address this issue by setting up two biomethanation plants with electricity generation of 25 TPD. But the government is not giving approval to it.” He said.
“The MMC is not asking for money from the government, it is finding money from the 14th Finance commission fund. The MMC wants only approval, but that is not accorded by the government. Hence it is evident that the BJP and Damu Naik are not willing to allow any work in opposition constituencies.” Sardesai charged.
Sidhanath Buyao, a resident of Amrutnagar, explained to the people how Damu Naik is involved in creating obstacles to the work of the Sonosodo project. “Damu Naik should stop playing politics over garbage. We the residents of Amrutnagar are suffering from the mess created by Damu Naik at Sonsodo.” Buyao said.
