Pointing out to the presence and statement by Netravali Panchayat’s Deputy Sarpanch Mr Abhijit Desai who played victim card during the press conference by Congress on Wednesday, Mrs Naik has said that Congress has exposed its duplicacy.
While on one side Congress has been shedding crocodile’s tears claiming that Law and Order situation in the State has gone to the lowest ebb, on the other hand, the Party was highlighting a person who has several cases against him at Sanguem Police Station.
“I was surprised that Mr Abhijit Desai was sharing dais with political bigwig like Mr Pratapsinh Rane who has been respected as outspoken politician who don’t entertain any lawlessness in the State,” she said.
While ruling out any links with Mr Parrikar, Mrs Naik pointed out that she has been on the forefront to speak against State government on several occasions and has made statements even against Mr Manohar Parrikar.
Mrs Naik has demanded that Congress should apologise to the people of Sanguem for their act of shielding Desai who is investigated by police for custodial assault, assault on government servant, defamation, Outraging Modesty, POCSO, fraud in Panchayat. Besides this, he is also facing Externment Proceedings at South Goa Collectorate and also case of Disqualification is likely to be decided against him where he has admitted of printing fake receipts to impose toll from the people entering Netravali village.
Mrs Naik has challenged Congress to prove her links with Parrikar, and if they can’t then they should admit that they have stooped down to the lowest level to protect their leaders involved in exposing identity of a minor victim of molestation.
“Entire frustration of Congress stems from the fact that they are facing humongous and water tight case under POCSO Act in which Goa Mahila Congress President Pratima Coutinho and South Goa leader Champa alias Savitri Kavlekar has been named as accused along with Mr Desai,” Naik said.
Sena demands that entire team of Congress led by Mr Girish Chodankar should apologise to the people of Sanguem for supporting a criminal. The Press Statements against me has put final nail in the coffin of Congress in Sanguem Constituency, she has said.
