AYUSH Minister Shripad Naik thanks PM, CM, HM, doctors after his recovery

Panaji: Discharged from a private hospital after being treated for COVID19 infection, Union AYUSH Minister Shripad Naik has thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the panel of  doctors from various institutions for his recovery.

“By God’s grace, I have tested Negative for Covid19 and have been discharged from the hospital. I would like to sincerely thank Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji for his concern and support during this difficult phase,” said Naik, in a press statement issued here on Sunday.

Naik was discharged on Saturday from a private hospital where he was admitted a month back after testing positive for COVID-19 infection. The Union Minister has been taking rest at his residence near Panaji after his discharge.

“Deep sense of gratitude to my colleague Dr. Harsh Vardhan , Goa CM Dr. Pramod Sawant and Health Minister Vishwajit P Rane who  continuously monitored by condition and provided all the requisite support, despite their hectic schedule,” he said.

“A big thank you also to the PMO India , Hon’ble Raksha mantri  Rajnath Singh , AYUSH Secretary  Rajesh Kotecha, Associate Professor in Cardiology Dr Manjunath Desai for their unstinted support and coordination,” the minister said.

“I would also like to place on record my gratitude to Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) for their unstinted support and coordination during my illness. I am also grateful to entire team of AIIMS led by Dr Guleria who played a key role in my swift recovery,” he added.

“I would like to convey my appreciation to the team of doctors from the Goa Medical College, led by Dean Dr Bandekar for their efforts,” Naik said.

“I can’t thank enough the team of Manipal Hospitals  Goa, led by Dr Shekhar Salkar, who worked tirelessly during my entire stay,” Naik added. “Their efforts gave me first hand experience of hardships that COVID warriors are facing and I will remain eternally grateful to them,” Naik said.

He said that after taking prescribed precautionary rest at home, he will be back to work soon to fulfill his regular duties towards the people.
