Free for all Tata Sky subscribers, Mass will be available in English, Konkani, Marathi, Tamil, Malayalam and Gujarati languages.
The feast of the Nativity of the blessed virgin Mary which is celebrated extensively in Our Lady of the Mount, Bandra attracts lacs of people every year, who gather to pray and give offerings during the 17 days of festivities. Ordinarily, the main attraction during this time is the famous ‘Bandra Fair’ which marks the celebration of Mother Mary’s birthday. However, for the first time in 200 years, the annual fair will not take place due to COVID-19 pandemic restrictions.
Although the fair with stalls and entertainment might be cancelled, the basilica has decided to take the digital route this year. Masses during the Novena and Octave Feast will be relayed live to the audience on Tata Sky Darshan, till 20th September.This cognizant initiative by Tata Sky allows devotees to up hold their celebrations and offer prayers from the safety of their homes.

To continue the tradition of attending Mass during this auspicious period, the church authorities received thousands of requests to telecast the Masses on television allowing families to attend Mass together, especially for the convenience of the elderly.
Post which the Church reached out to Tata Sky to telecast the festivities digitally and it was also made free for subscribers.
Masses will be delivered in English followed by local languages including Konkani, Marathi, Tamil, Malayalam and Gujarati, a different local language daily. Subscribers can watch live feed from the comfort of their homes by tuning into Tata Sky Darshan by pressing the Actve/Apps button on remote >Selecting Tata Sky Darshan – FREE from the menu > Selecting Mount Mary Basilica, Bandraor through the Tata Sky Mobile App at no extra cost.
