 Panaji: The Tenth and Twelfth Standard classes are all set to open for the first time during the first academic year on Saturday, tomorrow.

Majority of the schools have held their meetings to decide on the SOPs including introduction of thermal gun and strict sanitization during the school hours.

Porvorim MLA Rohan Khaunte in a series of tweets have questioned about safety of the students after reopening of the schools.

“Mumbai schools not to open in 2020 given the safety concerns. Haryana govt shuts schools within 2 weeks of opening. @goacm should learn lessons from proactive leadership of @OfficeofUT ji or let Haryana be cautionary tale.”

In yet another tweet, Khaunte said “Why must we endanger more lives at this point? Is illusion of normalcy more important than safety of our children and Goenkars?.”
