Panaji: A senior BJP leader has invited Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal to Goa “to refresh his lungs” after Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul arrived here on Friday.

BJP Social media incharge Rupesh Kamat tweeted “I would like to invite Hon. CM of Delhi @ArvindKejriwal to spend some days in Goa to refresh his lungs with good quality and fresh air as done by @INCIndia president smt. Sonia Gandhi.”

The tweet was a follow up of the twitter war between Goa CM Pramod Sawant and Kejriwal after later had adviced the former to control Coal pollution in the state. Both the Chief Ministers had exchanged series of tweets on the issue. Goa CM had adviced Kejriwal to look after the pollution in the national capital before commenting on Goa.

RAGHAV CHADHA’S DEBATE CHALLENGE EVOKES REACTION

After AAP leader Raghav Chadha’s claims on Kejriwal Model of Electricity, the social media was abuzz with the counter claims. While many BJP leaders openly criticized Chadha on his claim, many others with non-political background too joined them.

Pratitha Desai Bulchandani, one of the Facebook user wrote “I have been living in Delhi since past three plus years and have been paying my monthly electricity bill of approx 5 k plus. At times even 12 k in summers. Whereas in Goa I never paid a peny more than 2k ever with the consumption being almost same at both the places. This model gives only 200 units free while the per unit rates are very much higher than in Goa.”

Endorsing the post, BJP social media cell in charge Rupesh Kamat wrote “Right from the heart of Delhi resident. Is there anything worth left to debate?.”

The ever increasing COVID-19 cases in Delhi were also highlighted by some of the netizens to take AAP head-on. Giriraj Pai Vernekar quoted a statement by High Court “You were shaken out of slumber, you turned turtle after we asked questions.”

Vernekar wrote “And this shameless @AamAadmiParty wants Goa to learn its Governance model. Goa govt must be given a lot of credit for controlling Covid-19 crisis and not allow it to spiral out of control the way Delhi did.”

There were many other videos that were posted on the Facebook and other social media platforms mocking the challenge of the debate.

AAP has put up hoardings along the important locations in Goa about the debate on electricity model, that could not happen.
