Panaji : The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has given assent to the signing of an agreement for the recruitment of Indian citizens to work in Portugal.
Portugal, which is suffering from a severe shortage in skilled workers, has opened its floodgates to Indians who want to work there.
The Indian-Portuguese agreement will facilitate the movement of skilled workers with support from both the countries.
The External Affairs Ministry said, “The agreement between the two countries will set an institutional mechanism for partnership. This will definitely increase the cooperation between India and Portugal on sending and accepting Indian workers”
