Panaji : ICG Discussion Forum at the International Centre Goa, Dona Paula is set to hold a conversation on ‘Pandemics: Past, Present, Future’ on May 5 at 4.30 pm.
The conversation is between Thomas Abraham, honorary associate professor, Journalism and Media Studies Centre, University of Hong Kong and Chinmay Tumbe who’s is an assistant professor at IIM-Ahmedabad. Director of ICG Dr Pushkar will moderate the discussion. Abraham who works in the areas of risk communication during infectious disease epidemics, the role of the media in communicating risk and infectious diseases, and global health security, has been a consultant for the World Health Organization (WHO) and other international organisations on risk communication, and worked at WHO headquarters in Geneva during the influenza pandemic. Meanwhile Tumbe is a faculty member in the Economics Area at IIM-Ahmedabad, is a member of the The Lancet Covid-19 India taskforce.
