Panaji: Transport Minister Mauvin Godinho today produced the date of vehicles sold and revenue generated by State post reduction in road tax by government from October 18 onwards.
As per information provided by Godinho total 2388 vehicles that included 1555 two-wheelers and 833 four-wheelers were sold from October 18 to October 26.
A amount of Rs 3,63,52,469 was collected as road tax from four-wheelers and the GST was Rs 13,55,40,786.
As far as two-wheelers are concerned, the road tax collection was Rs 57,12,629 while GST was Rs 2,44,34,997.
While for the similar period in September, total 1088 vehicles- 808 two-wheelers and 280 four-wheelers, were sold.
The total revenue generation was of Rs 8,39,51,608.
