Panaji: Goa-based Dr Mahendra Kudchadkar has been unanimously elected as President of the Indian Foot and Ankle Society, the national body for foot and ankle surgery in India, for 2020-21.
Kudchadkar announced this through a Facebook post in which he has said that he is “humbled and honoured” for the achievement.
“I am proud to announce that I have taken over as President of the Indian Foot and Ankle Society the national body for Foot and Ankle Surgery in India for 2020-21 with over 800 members a rare honor to a Goan doctor,” he said. “I am humbled and honored by the privilege as I was elected unopposed,” he added.
“This superspeciality provides training for younger Orthopedic surgeons who wish to specialize in Foot and Ankle surgery and also provides International exposure to aspiring Foot and Ankle specialist,” he said.
“My gratitude to my national mentor Dr Rajiv Shah and International mentor Dr Kartikh Hariharan from the UK.”
Kudchadkar announced that Goa will soon have an exclusive Foot and Ankle Clinic with all the facilities for diagnosis and treatment for chronic problems like heel pain, ankle pain after sprain,flatfoot, toe deformities, chronic corns, non healing foot ulcer in diabetic patients,pain and nerve compression in the feet , non healing fractures or missed injuries after fall or sports injuries.
