Panaji: The Goa government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Harvard University to launch transformative educational programs aimed at enhancing and empowering public schools in the state.
The MoU was signed by the Goa government and Harvard University, represented by Dr. Dominic Mao and Dr. Andrea Wright, in the presence of Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that this collaboration aims to launch transformative educational programs to enhance and empower public schools in Goa, providing significant benefits to underprivileged students.
He mentioned that the Program for Scientifically-Inspired Leadership (PSIL) serves as a dynamic platform bringing together three distinct groups: Harvard University college students, who will take on the role of instructors; college students from Goa, who will act as instructor fellows; and higher secondary school students from public schools under the Education Department of Goa, who will participate as the primary beneficiaries of the program.
