Goa looking at banning smoking in public places- Rane

Panaji: Health Minister Vishwajit Rane today said that government is looking at banning smoking in public places in order to make the State tobacco-free.

Rane  said that the department has moved file to the government to ban smoking in public places all over the State.

Minister’s video message was released during ‘Launch of Mission Tobacco Free’ event at Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMCH). He is currently in Delhi.

Rane said that government will also identify designated places as “smoking zones” across State.
