Panaji: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has said that Fomento Green and Waste Management Services should move out of Sonsodo in the interest of people from Margao.
Sawant who chaired a meeting on garbage disposal at Porvorim Secretariat said that will be requesting chairman of the company, to move out.
“Our stand is that they should move out willingly. They are quoting that we owe them Rs 12 crore but we will see what is the actual amount that is pending before them is somewhere around Rs 5-6 crore. We will pay the actual amount,” the chief minister said.
Sawant said Margao and Fatorda MLAs have agreed for it.
He also said that two plants would be set up in different municipal areas to treat the waste.
