Belgaum : Belgavi Rural Police along with the aid of senior officials have finally arrested the dacoits who were active in the Jamboti-Kinaye Ghat region.
According to various reports, usually in the wee hours of the night a gang of dacoits used to attack trucks, cars and loot money from them in the Jamboti – Kinaye Ghat section.
The Dacoits in sime cases have thrown eggs on the wind shield of the vehicle and when the vehicle stopped to clean, the Dacoits looted them. They have also targeted Goan registerd Vehicles going to Belgaum from the Ghat.
The police kept a close watch on these gang memebers and arrested the five persons on 15th March along with their weapons.
