Panaji: The Pernem Police held a meeting for management of major hotels, resorts and restaurants around Pernem , Arombol, Mandrem area in the wake of tourists visiting Goa. The meeting was held at Pernem Police Station to create awareness regarding tackling of Covid-19 pandemic in tourist season.
On the occassion, PI Jivba Dalvi informed that the management were also directed to follow all safety procedures and measures required to prevent the spread of the virus. The managers were handed over an advisory aimed at tackling the Covid-19 pandemic which included various methods required for prevention and containment of virus in case if a covid positive patient is detected.
A total of 32 owners/managers attended the meeting while all hotels and establishments have been handed over the advisory.
PI Dalvi informed that meanwhile Pernem Police have been consistently booking people for not wearing masks in public places. A total of 1885 people have been booked for not wearing masks by Pernem Police.
PI Dalvi has requested all the locals and the owners/management of all establishments to follow the advisory strictly and cooperate with the police in order the fight the Covid-19 pandemic.
