Panaji: On Tuesday, Goa chief minister Pramod Sawant completed five years in the chair, where he was sworn in for the first time in the year 2019 after the death of Manohar Parrikar.
In a statement released here to mark five years of his rule, Sawant reaffirmed his commitment to lead the state towards greater prosperity and success in the days ahead.
“On this significant occasion, marking five years in the office as the Chief Minister of Goa, I express my heartfelt gratitude to the people of Goa for their continued support, love and affection,” the chief minister said.
He thanked BJP for entrusting me with the responsibility to serve the state. “I am deeply grateful to the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi for his guidance from time to time, under whose leadership and wholehearted support various initiatives aimed at the welfare of the people of Goa were envisaged and implemented.:
Sawant also thanked BJP National President J P Nadda and Union Home minister Amit shah for their constant support and guidance.
“I pledge to continue serving the people of Goa with utmost dedication and sincerity, and I reaffirm my commitment to lead the state towards greater prosperity and success in the days ahead,” he added.
Sawant was sworn in as the chief minister on March 17, 2019 after the demise of Parrikar. The BJP successfully fought 2022 Goa assembly election under his guidance. He has continued to be the chief minister from the year 2022 till date.
