Porvorim: Goa police had launched night long manhunt to track down the two assailants who fired at Srinivas Nayak, Director of Majestic Pride Hotels and Resorts.
Sources stated that all the borders of the state was sealed and extensive checking was maintained to ensure that the accused do not cross the border.
The stringent checks were also maintained at Konkan Railway Stations including Madgao where every passenger is being screened since last night.
Police have recovered the CCTV footage of the incident which will help them to identify the accused.
While details of the investigations are not revealed, police claimed that they should be able to arrest the accused within few hours, while agencies have kept on radar certain suspects.
Police have recorded statement of Nayak after the incident.
The victim had also helped police to recreate the scene last night.
