Panaji: Goa Tourism will participate in the Travel & Tourism Fair (TTF) Kolkata 2026 from July 10 to 12 to strengthen its outreach in Eastern India, one of the state’s fastest-growing domestic tourism markets, state Tourism Minister Rohan A. Khaunte said on Wednesday.
Khaunte will lead the Goa delegation at the three-day event to be held at the Biswa Bangla Mela Prangan in Kolkata, where the state will engage with travel trade partners, airlines, investors, media and tourism stakeholders from across Eastern India.
The minister said Goa’s participation in the fair is aimed at strengthening tourism partnerships with West Bengal and neighbouring states while promoting the state’s transformation into a premium, sustainable and year-round destination.
“We believe Eastern India is one of Goa’s most important and fastest-growing tourism markets. Travellers from this region are increasingly seeking authentic, immersive and year-round experiences, and Goa is well positioned to meet these evolving preferences,” Khaunte said in a statement.
He said the state would use the platform to showcase Goa beyond its beaches by highlighting its culture, heritage, wellness, spirituality, gastronomy and sustainable tourism initiatives.
According to the Tourism Department, the Goa pavilion will feature destination presentations, interactive engagements, curated itineraries and information on new tourism products designed to encourage repeat visits and longer stays.
The department will also promote monsoon tourism by showcasing Goa’s lush landscapes, waterfalls, wildlife sanctuaries, local festivals and culinary traditions, while highlighting experiential offerings such as hinterland exploration, heritage and cultural circuits, wellness retreats, luxury hospitality and regenerative tourism.
The participation forms part of the state’s strategy to expand its footprint in key domestic markets and position Goa as a year-round tourism destination, the statement added.
