Panaji: In the continous drive against narcotic, the Calangute Police on Monday nabbed a 27-year-old man possessing illegal substances worth Rs 1.2 lakh.
The accused, Om Prakash Thad, a native of Rajasthan was allegedly possessing illegal substance of 1.2 kg all worth Rs 1.2 lakh. The accused was carrying all the possesion in a black coloured Activa scooter.
The Calangute Police Team headed by PI Nolasco Raposo comprising of  PSI Rajaram Bhagkar,  Head Constable Vinod Naik Police Constables Vinay Shrivastav, Dinesh Morajkar,  Suresh Naik and Shasank Sakhalkar apptehended the accused person whilst patrolling.
This is the 12th narcotic drugs case booked at Calangute Police Station for the current year till date. Further investigation in this case is conducted by PSI Sushant Sangodkar under the direction of PI Calangute Mr Nolasco Raposo  and overall supervision of SDPO Porvorim Mr Edwin Colaco and SP North Mr Utkrisht Prasoon.
