Ajgaonkar hopeful of early implementation of shack policy

Panaji: The Deputy Chief Minister and Tourism Minister Mr Manohar ‘Babu’ Ajgaonkar has expressed hope that the issues related to the implementation of State’s new shack policy will be resolved soon and that each and every stakeholder will have a wonderful season this year.

‌Referring to the reports appeared in some of the local dailies about the applications invited by the tourism department for erecting shacks along Goa’s beach stretch, Ajgaonkar said that the department is already on the job and that it will make every effort to make the coming tourism season fruitful to each and every stakeholder.

‌”The Tourism Department has started the process of inviting applications from the interested shack owners. I hope all the hiccups pertaining to the implementation of the new shack policy get resolved at the earliest and wish everyone a wonderful and prosperous tourism season ahead,”  Mr Ajgaonkar said.

‌Meanwhile, the minister welcomed all the 212 Russian visitors who landed  in Goa in the first charter of the season on Friday.

‌”I welcome you all in this beautiful State of Goa. Wish you all a wonderful time ahead, ” he said.
