Panaji: Actress Pooja Bedi’s e-commerce website happysoul.in was hacked on Sunday night by hackers demanding a ransom and threatening that they will sell drugs on her website. This is the second time Bedi’s e-commerce website has been hacked.
Bedi informed about the incident on her twitter account on Monday morning stating that she had already lodged her a complaint with Goa police cyber cell as her company is registered in Goa.
“Dear @DGP_Goa my ecommerce website hacked again last night & this time they state if i don’t pay ransom they will sell drugs on my website. I have registered FIR in Old goa police cyber cell last week but no action from cops. My company registered in Goa @goacm,” she tweeted.
However, expressing her dissatisfaction over Goa police’s approach in handling her case, she stated it is ‘unacceptable’ that there is noone to handle the case vis-a-vis the cyber cell head is in quarantine.
The actress, earlier, in a series of tweets stated that post the demise of former Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar the law has been in shambles.
“My website happysoul.in Hacked! Ransom Demand/Files Deleted/ Lodged FIR at ribander police station bt cyber cell head in quarantine & no one to chase criminals.Seriously?
@DGP_Goa I am a Goa start up! post @manoharparrikar demise it’s said law in shambles  @StartupGoa ?” she tweeted.
“This is an absolutely shocking situation as a cyber cell or any police dept must have officers 2 chase criminals& protect us. We filed FIR on Tuesday & till today (Saturday) no movement & am told FIR has to go to him in quarantine to be signed.  This is unacceptable. @DGP_Goa,” she added.
