Panaji: Total 92.75 per cent of the students who had appeared for the Secondary School Certificate (tenth standard) examination held by Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education pass the examination, the Board functionary said.
Board Chairman Bhagirath Shetye told reporters on Wednesday that 92.75 per cent of the 20,345 students, that is 18869 cleared the SSC examination. 93.91 per cent girls and 91.62 per cent boys passed the examination that was held in April, 2022.
He said that the examination was conducted at 31 centres and 173 subcentres across the state.
Shetye said that to deal with the school closures and challenges of conducting exams due to pandemic during the academic year 2021-22, the Board adopted the Special Assessment scheme.
He said that total 916 students had availed Sports Merit Marks of which 17 of them passed the examination with these marks (sports merit marks).
