Panaji: Congress party on Tuesday accused Sports Minister Manohar Ajgaonkar of empanelling his family member on the GFDC and SAG committees.
Congress’ Goa Spokesman Amarnath Panjikar told reporters that Ajgaonkar has included his brother, who is a government doctor, in the committees.
He questioned the wisdom of including a non-sportsman into the committee by keeping out veterans who have excelled in the sports field.
Panjikar also feared that the constructions for the National Games has been substandard due to which there is a possibility that the structures might crumble during the event.
He pointed out various instances of how Ajgaonkar has been neglecting sports in the State.
