Panaji: Bengaluru-based tourist Abdul Rafique who went to see Dudhsagar waterfall on Thursday has gone missing, police said on Friday.
A senior police officer said that 62-year-old Abdul Rafique was on the visit to Goa along with his wife. “Both of them had visited Dudhsagar waterfall in South Goa where they went with a jeep hired for the purpose,” he said.
Abdul went missing from the waterfall prompting the police to launch extensive search operation on Thursday, police said adding that the co-passengers who had accompanied him in the jeep had also started the search but he could not be traced.
The incident happened at 1.30 pm.
Police said that the couple were staying in a hotel at Varca in South Goa.
He said that the missing person’s report has been lodged at Collem police station.
