Panaji : Due to continuous and heavy rainfall, Mhadei has been overflowing. Water has entered different parts of Valpoi.
“We have been awake the whole night getting in touch with our people, workers & supporters,” said Health Minister Vishwajit Rane in a Facebook post.
“Necessary directions have been issued to the collectors to have the Disaster Management team stationed at Sattari & Usgao,” he added.
“Water has entered their houses causing a lot of damage. It is very important for us to ensure our people’s safety. With the intervention of the Disaster Management Team, they will be shifted to safer locations.
I have requested the concerned officials from the department of WRD, Fire Dept, PWD, Deputy Collector & Mamlatdar to monitor the situation closely,” Rane informed through Facebook Post.
