Fatorda: Goa Forward Party Chief and Deputy Chief Minister Vijai Sardesai has kept his promise to clear Sonsodo shed cleared of unsegregated waste by the weekend.
Sardesai took on to twitter and posted a picture of the shed without any waste at Sonsodo.
“The #Sonsodo shed cleared of unsegregated waste by the weekend as promised! #MMC will supply segregated waste from tomorrow! Hope they don’t come up with new excuses! I will face these issues I have inherited without fear and with the support of all right thinking citizens!” he tweeted.
Sardesai, on June 18, had expressed his anguish over the tussle between MMC and Fomento company and had even threatened to throw garbage at the doorstep of the firm, if they continue creating unnecessary issues.
The Deputy Chief minister has taken up the issue on fixing the mess at Sonsodo on war footing. He has been monitoring the affairs at the dump on day to day basis.
