Margao: In two different instances of narcotic raids, Margao police arrested two Goans for possessing drugs at Navelim.
Two different teams of Margao police conducted raids at Navelim during which two Goans were arrested for possessing drugs.
In the first raid, PSI Varshada Naikdessai of Margao Town Police Station upon specific information regarding a person coming to deliver Ganja near Rosary College, Navelim Salcete Goa, conducted a raid and apprehended one person namely Weisberg S/o Francis Gracias, aged – 29 years R/o Aquem Baixo and seized Ganja of 250 Grms W/Rs. 25,000/- Offence Vide Crime No. 14 / 2021 U/s 20(b) (ii) (A) of NDPS Act. stands registered today at 17.07 hrs. by PSI Stanley Gomes of Margao Town PS and the accused Weisberg S/o Francis Gracias, aged – 29 years R/o Aquem Baixo placed under arrest.
In the second instance, PSI Sagar Dhatkar of Margao Town Police Station upon specific information regarding a person coming to deliver Charas near St. Francis Xavier Chapel, Fradelem, Navelim Salcete Goa, conducted a raid and apprehended one person namely Princley Fernandes aged – 24 years R/o St. Minguel Waddo, Dramapur, Salcete Goa and seized Charas of 172 Grms W/Rs. 86,000/- Offence Vide Crime No. 15 / 2021 U/s 20(b) (ii) (B) of NDPS Act. stands registered today at 20.00 hrs. by PSI Vishwajit Dhavalikar of Margao Town PS and the accused Princley Fernandes aged – 24 years R/o St. Minguel Waddo, Dramapur, Salcete Goa placed under arrest.
