Panaji: The Department of Police organized condolence meeting to pay homage and rich tribute to the Ex-DGP of Goa, late Shri Pranab Nanda who passed away on November 16, 2019 at New Delhi at Police Head Quarter in the city today.
The Chief Minister while addressing the meet expressed grief over the sad demise of Shri Pranab Nanda. He said he was very responsible and responsive who worked to ensure law & order in the State. During his tenure as DGP he had strived to bring about changes in the interest of the State. The untimely demise of Shri Nanda has caused great loss to the State.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Chandrakant Kavlekar while speaking expressed deep sorrow over the sad demise Shri Pranab Nanda. Shri Nanda was a person with sharp intellect and had always stood for the cause of the security of the State.
The Chief Secretary Shri Parimal Rai IAS in his address said that he has lost his dear friend in Shri Nanda – a man with outstanding qualities. He was an able administrator who always upheld interest of his office, he said and prayed that almighty grant peace to the departed soul.
Leader of Opposition Shri Digambar Kamat condoling the sudden demise of Shri Nanda said he was a good human being besides being a good administrator .
The commissioner of Goa State Information Commission Shri Juinino D’Souza also spoke on the occasion.
