Panaji: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting Goa on December 19 on a day long visit during which he will be addressing a public meeting, chief minister Pramod Sawant said.
Sawant told reporters on Wednesday that Modi will be arriving in Goa on December 19 in the morning after which he would be visiting Azad Maidan in Panaji where he would be paying floral tribute to the martyrs of Goa Liberation struggle.
Goa Liberation Day is celebrated on December 19.
Sawant said that the Prime Minister will be witnessing ‘sail parade’ from the banks of River Mandovi during which the Indian Navy will also conduct fly past.
The chief minister said that PM will address public meeting at 3.30 at Dr Shama Prasad Mukherjee stadium near here.
