IMA (Indian Medical Association) Bicholim branch felicitated students from Bicholim and Sattari talukas who joined MBBS course in 2019.

There was a mood of excitement and gratefulness among the parents as well as students as the MBBS students were facilitated for their hard work and achievements . Indian Medical Association Bicholim branch  decided to recognize the hardwork and efforts put upon by the meritorious  students  of  Bicholim and Sattari talukas because of which they have secured a place in MBBS batch at Goa Medical College this year. Around  15 students from Bicholim and Sattari talukas have made it to MBBS this year. However  there were only 10 students present on the occasion to receive the facilitation. This felicitation program was conducted in Lions club hall,  Bicholim in presence of eminent Doctors from this area.  On the occasion were present the President of IMA Bicholim, Dr Kalpana Chodankar,  secretary IMA Bicholim, Dr Nishank Halarnkar, treasurer, Dr Mrunal Sambaji, Dr Shekhar Salkar, Dr Medha Salkar, Dr Caiero (all past state presidents)Dr Pradeep Padwal,Dr Umesh Dhume, Dr Ulhas Karpe, Dr Dayanand Rao, Dr Sandesh Chodankar and Dr Anupama Kudchadkar.
The students who were felicited  are Ackshna  Arulchalvan Nadar, Anushka Kamat, Ankita Srikrishna Naik, Anjali Bendu, Amisha Balchandra , Kawlekar, Neha Narvekar, Prapti Prashant Chanekar, Shubham Verenkar, Siya Sitaram Kamat  and Vidita Sakhalkar. On behalf of IMA Bicholim the branch President wished all the felicitees a bright future with a hope to see them back as future IMA Bicholim members, 10 years down the line.
As a token of appreciation of their achievement each student  present there were given a  medal and a stethoscope.
Students in reply thanked IMA Bicholim branch for recognising their efforts and talent , their parents and well wishers were also present for the program.
