Panaji: After a long break of almost eight months that the schools have been shut down in view of the pandemic, students of class 10 and 12 will now have to resume their classes as the state government has decided upon partial reopening of schools. The government on Tuesday issued the Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) for the reopening of schools.
The SOP stated that only 12 students will be allowed in a classroom and six feet distance has to be maintained between each of the students. Schools can also conduct the classes on shift basis. Thermal check is mandatory at common places, like entry and exit gates and any kind of gathering should be avoided in the school premises.
Visitors including staff have to download the Arogya Setu app, however, outsiders are advised not to visit the schools. Strict cleaning of floors and other areas inside the school premises including toilets have to be cleaned regularly using alcohol base cleaner, the notice states.
While the transportation has been asked to be managed by the school, students have been advised to get home cooked food and maintain personal hygiene. No physical education activities will be allowed and students should be advised not to exchange any kind of stationery or food items or mask.
