Panaji: If we go as per IMD weather forecast, people would be able to enjoy Diwali festival on Sunday.
IMD in their press release has predicted reduction in rainfall activities from today evening, while it has issued no weather warning for the State for next four days.
The weather department, has, however, asked fishermen not to venture into sea for next 24 hours due to rough weather conditions owing to gusty winds.
“Yesterday’s cyclonic storm “KYARR” over eastcentral Arabian Sea moved north-northeastwards and intensified into a severe cyclonic storm in the same evening,” IMD said.
“It is very likely to move west-northwestwards towards Oman coast during next 5 days. In view of movement of the system away from the western coast rainfall activity over Goa is likely to reduce from the late evening of October 26,” it added.
“No weather warning on subsequent four days,” IMD said.
