Old Goa: Against the backdrop of the decennial exposition of the Holy Relics of St. Francis Xavier, our Editor-in-Chief, Rupesh Samant, traveled to uncover the journey of these holy remains.
During our conversations with various researchers, we were told that the Holy Relics, which were meant to be brought to Old Goa, had mistakenly landed in another place.
The relics were kept in that chapel (now a church) before being transported to Old Goa by canoe, crossing the Mandovi River.
