Panaji: AAP leader Ramrao Wagh has questioned the innocence proclaimed by St Andre MLA Viresh Borkar over issuing of occupancy certificate to Prescon mega project in Azosim-Mandur panchayat.
Addressing a press conference, Wagh said that the panchayat had the Sarpanch and three members who were supported by Borkar.
He said that it was not possible that Borkar was unaware about issuance of 90-odd occupancy certificate to this project. Wagh said that this issue was published in a local newspaper after which he has taken the step.
“But before that there was a specific reply on the floor of the House about this project but Borkar did not utter any word,” he said.
The AAP leader said that the issue was also raised during Gram Sabha.
Wagh said that Borkar was aware about this issue.
He said that the project has come up by violating various norms.
The AAP leader said that panchayat department has given the occupancy certificate within a day for this project, by bypassing various rules.
Wagh said that RGP was trying to claim innocence. “But circumstances indicates that RGP was fully aware about this project,” he said.
While RGP is claiming themselves to be saviour of Goans, their MLA is systematically ignoring several meg a projects which are cropping up in his constituency.
