Margao: Goa Forward Party has requested Governor Satya Pal Malik’s intervention to revert immediately decision of the government to conduct door to door survey.

GFP President Vijai Sardesai, in a memorandum has appealed Governor to impress upon the State government to “revert immediately the ill-advised decision of the Government to conduct a ‘Door-to-Door Survey’ with non-medical personnel which is fraught with the real danger of actually promoting Community Transmission, than preventing Community transmission.”

Instead, GFP has suggested that  ‘Sample Testing’ be conducted in the Neighborhood of those seven who had so far tested Positive.

“That all those who entered Goa after 8th of march be traced through the Primary Health Centers and they be tested.”

He said that all showing up at the Government and Private Health Clinics/Facilities with Flu-like symptoms be tested for COVID-19.

“It is our considered view that the above measures will suffice to determine if there is ‘Community Transmission’ and identify any ‘Hot Spots’ and take the appropriate ‘Tracing and Isolation’ measures, thereafter,” he said.
