Mapusa Police Station today organized a Drawing competition in view of Ganesh Chaturthi Festival.
As per SDPO Mapusa Jivba Dalvi, Mapusa Police Station every Year celebrates Ganesh festival by doing the poojan of Ganapati Bappa for 11 days. This year also Mapusa Police Station has kept 11 days Ganapati and in view of this there are various cultural programmes organized.
One such program was held today i.e. drawing competition for the students of first category of Std V to VII and second category is Std. VIII to X. Three Themes was given to the students for competition i.c. 1) Save Environment and Save Earth 2) Road Safety 3) Everyday Heroes. In total 230 students were participated for the competition.
Chairperson of Mapusa Municipal Council Smt. Priya V. Mishal inaugurated the function in presence of SDPO Mapusa Shri. Jivba Dalvi, PI Mapusa Shri. Shitakant Nayak, PI Colvale PS Shri. Vijay Rane, PI Traffic Cell Mapusa Shri. Marlon Dsouza, PSI Shri. Yeshwant Mandrekar and PSI Shri. Viraj Korgaonkar, PSI Gaurav Naik, LPSI Rupali Govekar and LPSI Reecha Bhonsle.
In the Speech given by Mrs. Priya Mishal she has appreciated efforts of Mapusa Police Station in organising such Mega drawing competition for the students of Bardez Taluka. She further stated that this is the first Year Mapusa Police is organizing such a big event and she further stated that it will help police to build good relation with public and it will help in outreaching of police to public.
SDPO Mapusa Shri. Jivba Dalvi informed that this event is specially organize to have good police public relationship, all the students gathered were also showed how the Police Station is functioning. DYSP Shri. Jivba Dalvi thanked the parents who had brought their children to participate in the competition. Pl Shri. Shitakant Nayak presented the vote of thanks.
Esteemed judges has judged the event comprising of Shri. Sanjay Harmalkar, 2) Shiva Kinlekar 3) Shri. Prakash Dhumal and 4) Sneha Hasotikar. All the students participated were given participation certificate.
