Daylight Heist in Parra: Two Unidentified Men Snatch Gold Chain Worth ₹2 Lakh

PANJIM: In a daring daylight robbery, two unidentified individuals snatched a gold chain worth ₹2 lakh from a woman in Parra on Friday morning. The incident occurred at around 8:30 AM when the victim was walking from her residence to the nearest bus stop to reach her workplace.

According to Mapusa Police, the two accused arrived on a two-wheeler and swiftly executed the snatching before fleeing the scene. The woman, shocked, reported the incident to the authorities, after which an offence was registered against the unknown perpetrators.

Senior officers from the Mapusa Police Station have assured that efforts are being made to trace the suspects. Police teams are analyzing CCTV footage from nearby areas and gathering intelligence to identify and apprehend the culprits.

Residents of Parra have expressed concern over the increasing number of snatching incidents in the region, urging law enforcement agencies to step up patrolling and enhance security measures.

The Mapusa Police have appealed to the public to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity that may help in nabbing the offenders.
