COVID-19: 64 new cases, infection reported around Margao

Panaji: Β Goa on Sunday recorded one of the highest spike in its COVID-19 positive cases with an area within port town continuing to be the biggest contributor for the tally.

As per State Health department’s bulletin mentions that 64 new infection was detected on Sunday, while six people were recovered and discharged from the hospital.

With the fresh development, total cases touched a mark of 818 of which 683 are active patients of COVID-19 infection.

Mangor Hill, an area in Vasco town, which is declared as a containment zone continues to report the largest number of infection.

The state health department’s data mentions that total 338 people who are living in Mangor Hill have been tested positive, while 205 are those who have received infection linked to that place, when they had either visited it or carried it from them in some or other way.

While Margao town in Salcette taluka of South Goa also recorded positive patients, the infection was also found in the people living in areas like Ambelim, Navelim, Curtorim, Raia which are surrounding areas.

  1. Pls I request the Honorable cm to keep the aware of the virus in Goa.
    Especially the salcete ,margao and Vasco mangoor hill I please request the cm to take strick ,action upon this with the Honorable health minister of Goa to pls take this things seriously and heart fully pls save are people and are state Goa. And this comment is not only to read to be wise and to do it.
