Panaji: Police have booked Panaji MLA Babush Monserratte, CCP Mayor Uday Madkaikar and former Mayor Yatin Parekh for outraging modesty of a woman.
The woman, who was part of the group which opposed demolition of a staircase constructed by off shore casino operator in Panaji on Friday, has claimed that all the accused touch her inappropriately, abused her and outraged the modesty.
Panaji Police Sub Inspector Arun Abhay Gawas Desai said that the woman has lodged a complaint that all the accused also threatened to kill her.
He said that the offence under section 323 for causing hurt, 354 for outraging modesty, 504 for provoke breach of peace, 506 for criminal intimidation, 509 for insult the modesty of woman of Indian Penal Code has been registered against all the three accused.
