Panaji:Actor Satish Kaushik was amongst the first few commuters to travel on New Zuari Bridge, that was inaugurated on Thursday evening by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari.
The bridge was opened for the traffic at 1 pm on Friday by the state government after which the first few commuters were welcomed with the roses by officials of Goa Police and Dilip Buildcon Limited, who has constructed this mega-structure on Zuari River.
While the taxi carrying tourist from Dabolim Airport was the first ever vehicle of the public to cross this bridge, sharp at 1 oclock, actor Satish Kaushik was also spotted in the Taxi which followed.
The officials were seen clicking picture with Kaushik after offering him rose and wishing him happy stay in the coastal state, which is currently gearing up to host New year celebrations.
The Bridge located around 15 kms away from Panaji connecting North and South District was inaugurated by Gadkari on Thursday evening.
