Pundalik Dhargalkar who is the independent candidate for the ensuing Zilla Panchayat elections from Dhargal constituency today officially joined the Aam Aadmi Party with AAP Goa convener Rahul Mhambre declaring that this is just the beginning with many more likely to join the party in coming days.

Pundalik said he decided to join AAP as it was the only party taking up issues concerning Goa and can bring about true development of Goa as it has done with Delhi. “I am particularly impressed with their power policy particularly as I know many Goans who cannot afford to pay their electricity bills,” he said.
“The two percent tax on non payment of electricity bills is truly crippling and people are reduced to penury because of this,” he said adding that only AAP will be able to solve this issue.
Replying to a question he said when elected as ZP member he will strive to provide toilets to those who do not have them and also provide proper access to the houses of those who do not have access.
“I know many households where an ambulance cannot reach in case of an emergency and they desperately need motor able access,” he said adding that there are many people who do not have toilets and still go out in the open for defecation and also pointed out that many do not have potable water facility.
“People have paid their panchayats money for the promised bio toilets which have not materialised till today and this will be my priority when elected as ZP member,” he said while refusing to comment on the performance of Bharatiya Janata Party or the Congress Party.
