Panaj: Aam Admi Party on Tuesday announced that their Goa MLA Venzy Viegas would be contesting upcoming South Goa Parliamentary seat as INDIA alliance candidate.
AAP Goa President Amit Palekar told reporters in Panaji that Venzy Viegas would be party’s candidate for South Goa Parliamentary seat. He said that Viegas would be the candidate of INDIA alliance.
Palekar said that the last meeting of the INDIA alliance was held 30 days back, after that the Congress leaders are busy. “That is why AAP decided to field their leader as South Goa candidate,” he said.
The AAP leader appealed all the other parties to support Viegas.
Viegas is currently representing Benaulim Assembly segment on the AAP.
