Panaji: Minutes after AAP on Tuesday announced their leader Venzy Viegas as INDIA alliance candidate for South Goa Parliamentary seat, Goa Pradesh congress Committee President Amit Patkar expressed his ignorance.
“I dont know why AAP Goa President Amit Palekar took a premature press conference to announce Lok Sabha candidate, that too for South Goa which has sitting Congress party MP Francisco Sardinha rerepsenting it,” Patkar said in a media statement released here on Tuesday.
“INDIA leaders are in talks and decision on contesting seats in various states will be taken by INDIA leaders in Delhi,” he said.
AAP had announced their leader and Benaulim MLA Venzy Viegas as the candidate for South Goa Parliamentary seat on Tuesday. They had said that he was candidate of INDIA alliance candidate.
