Valpoi: 62 healthcare workers (HCWs) from Community Health Centre have received the COVID vaccine of a Covishield brand which was held on Friday. There were No Adverse Event Following Immunisation (AEFI) have reported from all 62 beneficiaries
Medical Officer In charge of CHC Valpoi Dr. Shyam Kankonkar said 62 of its staff have received vaccine on the first round and others will get in second round. He said he also have taken vaccine shot and have not experience unusualness. I had herd lot of negativity about the vaccine but its all false as none of our staff have experience any sort of uneasiness. I appeal to my fellow colleague to get vaccinated and don’t fall prey to rumours which are going around in social media.
All this month’s we have faced lot of hardship due to pandemic and I feel vaccination will bring end to this health emergency.
Chief Medical officer Dr. Surekha Parulekar, Aqueeb Shaikh and Swati Tishekar were the State supervisor to supervise entire vaccination session.
Sattari Mamlatdar Dashrath Gawas, Joint Mamlatdar Sanjivani Satardekar Visited vaccination site and encouraged Health workers to get vaccinated.
