Panaji: A final-year MBBS student from Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMC) has been booked by Agassaim police for trespassing into the premises of the girls’ hostel at Goa Dental College and allegedly attempting to record videos of female students while they were bathing.
The incident occurred on May 19 between 9:45 pm and 10:00 pm in Bambolim village, on the outskirts of Panaji, where both institutions are located adjacent to each other.
According to police, the student criminally trespassed into the ground-floor premises of the girls’ hostel and attempted to observe and record videos through the bathroom window using his mobile phone, with malicious intent.
Police said, “The accused has committed a serious invasion of privacy, constituting a grave violation of the law, decency, and the safety and dignity of the female residents.”
