Mapusa Police have booked 02 persons for rash driving and further threatening the complainant and his family with dire consequences.
As per SDPO Mapusa Jivba Dalvi a complaint was lodged by one individual R/o Porvorim Goa complaining that on 06/08/2023 at around 8 pm while he was proceeding in his car towards Anjuna one car which was being driven in a zig-zag manner came and hit their car. Further when the occupants and the driver of the said car abused the complainant, his wife and son with filthy words and language and also threatened them with dire consequences. Accused persons also threatened the complainant saying they have influence and they will teach the complainant and his family a lesson.
Upon receiving information from the complainant Mapusa police immediately visited the spot and brought the accused persons to the police station.
The accused persons have been identified as 1) Mr. Albino Fernandes, r/o Dramapur, Salcete, Goa and 2) Mr. Kedar Jagdale Dessai, R/o Margao Goa.
In this connection an offence under sections Mapusa PS Cr. No. 153/2023 U/s 279, 336, 504, 509, 354-A, 506(ii) R/w 34, 184, 185 of MV Act stands registered.
Further investigation is in progress with PSI Gaurav Naik under the supervision of SDPO Mapusa Jivba Dalvi and SP North Nidhin Valsan, IPS.
