Panaji: After a spate of attacks on Goa Miles taxi drivers, a senior company officer said that Taxi Mafia has now entered in new profession of social terrorism by taking law in their hands.
“Taxi Mafia in Goa has now entered in new profession of social terrorism by taking the law in their hands,” Parashar Pai Khot, Director, Goa Miles told reporters.
He said this way they will only end up in sabotaging Goa’s tourism .
“So far these taxi Mafia was successful in looting the passengers for years together. But now with the start of GoaMiles,a Goa Government initiative,they no more can fool the tourists,” he said.
“Hence they are now resorting to violence.Till date, GoaMiles trying the best to maintain drivers to keep their calm but we should not forget that they are humans after all,” Khot added. He said “Hence we would like to request the Government Authorities and Goa police to pay attention towards these untoward activities “
“We are trying to provide a professional taxi service to our tourists, so that Tourism can flourish in Goa and are working 24×7 for the same,” he added.
